STEVEN GRANT ROGERS
born on july fourth, nineteen - eighteen in brooklyn, new york to irish immigrants : joseph and sarah rogers. his upbringing wasn’t quiet, as after his father was let go from his job he became an alcoholic. often taking out his anger out on steve and his mom. unlike joseph, sarah was a very caring parent towards steve. she worked as a nurse for the army and surrounding hospitals, as well as at a garment factory until she passed sometime in 1926, months after her husband.a few years after his parents’ deaths, steve’s best friend james buchanan barnes moved into the small home once shared by rogers and his parents to provide a comfort. not long after this change was james drafted into the army, where steve would soon find himself under the guise of a serum trial.the rest, is history.MARVEL ⭑ INDEPENDENT PORTRAYAL
